1947 – Gandhigram Trust was started by Dr. T.S. Soundram and a group of like-minded people.
1977 – Lakshmi Seva Sangham was started by Padmashree V. Padmanabhan, a veteran Gandhian, and Shri. V. Krishnamoorthy, an educationist, with the guidance of Dr. Y. Kondal Rao, Founder-Secretary of IMPCOPS, Adayar, Chennai. It was registered as a Society under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act of 1860 vide Sl. No. 25 of 1977.
1980 - The Siddha and Ayurveda medicines-manufacturing unit was started with a licence for manufacturing 450 items is producing 270 medicines.
2008 - Exhibition and sales was conducted at Kodai Festival 2008, organised by the District Administration and Women Development Corporation, Dindigul.
2008 – An amount of $50,000 (Rs 2500, 000) was received from Ford Foundation to promote marketing in selected towns and rural areas.
2008 – Scheme of Funds for Regeneration of Traditional Industries was launched by Sushri Kumud Joshi, Honourable Chairperson of KVIC on 28th July.
2008 – Herbal Medicine and Neutraceutical Producers Network started in collaboration with Amritha Surabi Federation, Kanyakumari, Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra, Bangaluru, and Aharam, Madurai.
2009 – Ayur Watch, the LSS communiqué magazine started publication.
2009 – The Sangham received the National Award 2009 for the best implementation of SFURTI Siddha and Aurveda Cluster.
