The mission of the Sangham is to see its vision realized through the following means:
- Organizing rural women, especially destitute women and deserted wives, and the physically challenged persons into SHGs that would cooperate with the Sangham on a mutually beneficial basis in the collection of herbs and marketing of products.

- Initiating economic activities for the upkeep of abandoned children.
- Training workers and other personnel for the implementation of the projects of the Sangham.
- Purchasing, stocking, distributing raw materials, implements, etc. for the development of the initiated economic activities.
- Collecting herbal ingredients from the rural areas without the profiteering middlemen.
- Manufacturing high quality traditional ayurveda and siddha remedies and making them available to all the needy people, especially in the rural areas.
- Propagating the advantages of traditional medications and treatments which are cheaper than the mainstream allopathic treatment and have no side effects.
- Supporting the activities of Sowbhagya Illam and other non-profit-making services of Gandhigram Trust.
- Cooperating with other organizations having similar objectives, especially with the Gandhigram Trust, Gandhigram.
- Securing fund from Government, quasi-government and non-governmental agencies, financial institutions like banks and other funding sources for the furtherance
of the objectives of the Sangham.
