  • Common Net Work
As a part of enhancing the market reach and strengthening the marketing facilities, the Sangham has decided to float a common brand called ‘Sacred Herbs and Foods’, in collaboration with Amritha Surabhi Federation, Kanyakumari, Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra, Bangaluaru and Aharam, Madurai.  A net work named ‘Herbal Medicine and Neutraceutical Producers Network’ has been commonly started as a non-profit entity to address the primary health care and malnutrition issues of remote rural areas.  This common brand will be owned by primary producers and federations and managed by professionals optimizing the location-wise advantage of sourcing the geographical indication produces as raw materials and seasonal availability of produce in different agro-climatic regions in the respective partner locations.

Each of the partner agencies will bring in its awareness of genuine raw material sources and expertise in traditional methods of processing and reach out to the remote corners of the country using its good will and network that already exists with the communities and well wishers in its fold.  Each agency will sell all the produces of all the partners across its regions through its SHGs and Primary Producers Federation networks. Each partner can also enter into collaborative initiatives with Indian Corporate and retail chains with the common brand for reaching out to the mainstream market.

The Network was launched by Dr. H. Sudarsan of Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra on the 7th of October, 2008, and the partners have begun to reap the benefits of the new outfit.
